WE funds support a new Auto Tech Training Program for Female Corpsmembers and stipends for participants, who have experienced poverty, homelessness, and many other significant barriers to financial stability. Through this training, six female Corpsmembers will gain foundational and advanced automotive repair skills, receive mentorship from certified professionals, prepare for certification testing, build confidence in a traditionally male-dominated industry, and strengthen their employability and earning potential. They will gain access to job opportunities with placement support, and serve as role models for other women at Urban Corps.
