Uganda Partner
Nyaka in Uganda
Partner Since: 2014
2026 Grant Amount: $51,000
WE funds support Nyaka’s Grandmother Microfinance Program, establishing 10 new grandmother groups in Rukiga (with 500 grandmothers caring for 2,000 children) and reinforcing existing groups in Kanungu, Rukungiri, and Rubanda through training, mentorship, and loan capital top-ups. The poverty alleviation model goes beyond microfinance. It restores dignity, builds agency, and transforms communities by enabling grandmothers to become resilient caregivers and leaders in local development.
