This special trip will also include a unique opportunity to learn about local festivities for Día de los Muertos.
Meeting Time & Location:

On this tour…
The date of our tour is planned to coincide with a special Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festival at the Mixteco school, “The House of Wise Words.” This is a bilingual school with many indigenous families from Oaxaca and many who have been deported from the US. WE supports a women’s solidarity loan group through the Via Migrante program at this site. Additional stops for our itinerary include:
We will meet with Via staff, as well as women participating in Via programs. The $60 site visit fee will cover the bus, lunch, and stipends for program participants.
We only have space for 20 WE members (and guests), so reserve your spot today!
NOTE: All foreigners, regardless their nationality, are required to present a valid and non-expired passport or travel document when entering Mexico.
