2026 Grant Amount: $2,000
WE funds support initiatives serving women in the Batwa community in Uganda, an Indigenous people who were displaced from their ancestral homeland in the early 1990s. Today, many still face discrimination and live in extreme poverty. WE will provide a one-time grant of $2,000 for BCCDI’s entrepreneurship and skill-building program for the purchase of sewing machines and microloans for start-up capital. Graduating women will be able to earn income and build self-sufficiency.
